Katie M. Kean is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC- license #2096) in the state of Mississippi; she is also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). Katie attended Mississippi College in Clinton, MS to obtain her Master of Science in Counseling, with an emphasis in mental health counseling. Through internships and prior work experience, Katie has experience with children's acute psychiatric hospitalization, residential care, psychological testing, community mental health, MYPAC program, and group private practice. Katie utilizes several treatment methods, including CBT, TF-CBT, and play therapy. Katie provides a safe, comfortable and nonjudgmental environment for children and families to express emotions, increase coping skills, and improve family interaction skills and communication.
